A study in The Journal of Clinical Acupuncture shares that, with cosmetic acupuncture, 90% of clients have marked improvement in their faces and experience an overall rejuvenation that is not confined to the face. This is a good reason to call Cosmetic Acupuncture procedures "Anti-Aging Treatments" .... because they affect your overall health in a positive way.

An acupuncture session to reduce wrinkles is approximately 75 minutes, up to 80 small 3mm needles may be inserted into the wrinkle and frown lines. The needles promote energy flow around the face, blood surfaces to the muscles to relax them, and  increases the local production of collagen and elastin which strengthens the structure of the skin. This results in a general tightening of facial tissue and gives a smoother, firmer line to the face. Auricular and body acupuncture are used to support the treatment by helping to balance the body and improve general health and wellbeing.

A course of 6-12 treatments is preferable. Visible results are usually noticeable after 6-8 sessions. Once the course of treatment is finished, most people choose to continue with occasional follow up sessions to maintain their improvement.
